Q. How long have you been teaching?
A. I am starting my tenth year as a teacher. I have taught Kindergarten and First Grade at Village and Primary (1 & 2 multi-age) at Quest.
Q. Where did you go to school?
A. I was born and raised in Hilton! After graduating from Hilton High School I went to SUNY Cortland to receive my Bachelor's Degree in Inclusive Special Education. After graduating, I decided it was time to come back "home" and attended SUNY Brockport for my Master's Degree as a Literacy Specialist.
Q. What are your hobbies?
A. I grew up on a horse farm in Hilton so I have always enjoyed riding. When I have some free time I love to shop, cook, read, or find crafty things on Pinterest to make. Playing, creating, and crafting with my kids, Jameson and Henley, is my favorite way to spend my time. Our favorite place to visit as a family is the zoo. My kids know most of the animals by first name! I also have two very energetic dogs that keep our family busy and love to play. Jaxon is a 9 year old Lab and Chevelle is a 6 year old Golden Retriever
Q. What is your favorite sport?
A. I have always loved to play Field Hockey. I played in middle school and high school and even throughout college. I don't play anymore. If I had to pick a favorite sport to watch it would be hockey. I love the Buffalo Sabres. LET's GOOOOO BUFFALO!
Q. Have you always known that you wanted to be a teacher?
A. When I was in second grade I absolutely adored my teacher so much! She shared the same birthday as me (October 28th) and made learning so much fun. I knew when I grew up I wanted to be just like her! I never changed my mind while growing up. I always knew once I finished high school I would head off to college and follow my dream of becoming a teacher. I love knowing that I inspire little minds and learn just as much from my students as they do from me.
